Job Description

Affiliated with the Missionary Church, Bethel University, is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Crossroads League and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).

The track and field coach must be committed to the College’s mission of Christ-centered higher education.

Responsibilities include:

• Coaching (event and duties based on skills).
• Demonstrate a pastor’s heart with ability to discipleship/mentoring.
• Excellent recruiting and scheduling skills.
• Ability to supervising assistant coaches and practice plans.
• Work with Direct on any budget management or equipment needs.
• Assist with travel arrangements and program promotions.
• Ensuring program compliance with the NAIA, the Crossroads League, and the NCCAA.
• Additional duties will be evaluated based on the candidates skill set.
• Possible advancement to Associate Head Track and Field Coach with right candidate.

The track and field coach is also responsible for encouraging the student-athletes in their spiritual, academic, athletic, and social development.

Candidate should have a minimum of three year’s collegiate coaching experience with demonstrated success in recruiting quality and numbers of student athletes. Bachelor’s degree is required.
