Job Description

Purdue University Track & Field program seeks applicants for a volunteer assistant coach with the jumps, combined events, or pole vault. This position will report directly to the Head Track and Field and the Jumps Coach.
Duties might include but are not limited to:
• Practice set-up / break-down
• Assist with organization and implementation of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual training for the throwing events
• In-competition coaching responsibilities
• NCAA-permissible recruiting duties – assist full-time staff in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes (PSAs), ability to identify PSAs, assess talent, build relationships, and guide PSAs through the initial eligibility process
• NCAA-permissible on-campus recruiting duties (Official / Unofficial Visits)
• Travel to off-campus team competitions
• Attend Staff / Team Meetings
• Assist with home meet coordination & operation
• Execution of and commitment to NCAA Division I, B1G Conference, and Purdue University rules, policies, and procedures
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Collegiate Track and Field experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Successfully pass a background check
