Volunteer Assistant Track and Field Coach

George Mason University

Responsibilities

This Volunteer Coach position (non-paid) will be responsible for assisting in the successful management and implementation of the Sprints/Hurdles and/or Vertical Jumps/Multi event groups within the Track and Field Program. Candidates will be expected to adhere to all rules and regulations at George Mason University, the Atlantic 10 Conference and the NCAA.

Areas of assistance will include but not limited to:

  • Recruiting
  • Implementing workouts – practice set ups, warms up/cool downs, timing, spreadsheets, etc
  • Weight room supervision
  • Team travel – must have valid driver’s license and be able to pass van driver training

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of high school or collegiate experience
  • Available between 2pm-7pm daily
  • Must be available to travel with team to competitions on the weekends.
