Job Description

 

University of Jamestown is seeking applications for the position of Men’s & Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field Graduate Assistant (GA) Coach for a 2-year period, beginning in the fall of 2026. The ideal candidate can have a background in any event group area & must fit well with desired culture of the Jimmie XC/TF program.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Must be willing to get CDL license within first semester (training & process provided through the university) as driving for meets (& sometimes practice) will be an important component of the job.
  • Will be expected to help with both Cross Country & Track & Field administrative & driving needs.
  • Will have ability to assist one or multiple event group coaches in area/s of expertise.
  • Media (videography, photography, drone) experience/expertise is not required, but would be considered valuable in consideration of ideal candidate.
  • Desire & ability to connect in positive relationship with athletes as well as coaches.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be accepted as a full-time, degree seeking student in the UJ Master of Arts in Leadership program.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the University of Jamestown.
  • Demonstrate ability to be self-motivated, self-reflective, & to conduct oneself in an ethical & professional manner.
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain a CDL to assist with team travel.
