TFA 506: Advanced Endorsement in Pole Vault

**IN PERSON COURSE**

This 15-hour advanced-level course offers an intensive study of pole vault coaching, athlete development, and event-specific performance. Designed for experienced coaches, TFA506 covers technical instruction, training design, athlete management, and the integration of sport science principles. Special focus is given to biomechanics, skill acquisition, strength and power development, and long-term training strategies.

As part of the Track and Field Academy’s highest-level Masters Mentorship series, TFA506 prepares coaches to guide athletes at the highest levels of competition.

Upon successful completion of the course, any existing certifications you may hold will be renewed by the number of years specified in Academy Policy.  As the 500 level courses are part of the Masters Certification curriculum, they therefore do not grant stand alone certification.

Member Fee – $275

Prerequisites:

The minimal requirements for taking the Advanced Endorsement course are

• 303: Jumping Event Specialist Certification
• 403: Testing and Measurement
• 405: Sports Psychology
• 406: Injury Management
• 408: Sport Science for Speed & Power Events
• Your choice of either 310: Strength & Conditioning Coach Certification or 407: Weight Training.

OR

• 10 years of formal coaching experience
• 303: Jumping Event Specialist Certification
