Job Description
Full-Time Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach is responsible for assisting with all phases of a Division I Cross Country and Track and Field programs with an emphasis on distance and middle distance at the University of Richmond. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: coaching and student-athlete development, recruiting, administrative tasks related to the operation of the program, and providing a positive collegiate experience for student-athletes at a highly competitive academic institution.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Extensive travel is required (recruiting and team travel)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to lead/manage others
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Strong understanding of all aspects of social media is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of all applicable NCAA D1, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required
- Demonstrated expertise in coaching Cross Country/Track and Field is required
- Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years and a clean driving record, required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Previous coaching on the collegiate level preferred
