Graduate Assistant Men’s & Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field
Carthage College is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of graduate assistant serving as an assistant for the Cross Country and Track & Field programs. This is a 10-month position with a full tuition or half tuition waiver depending on the degree pursued and yearly stipend.
Responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to:
Recruiting, knowledge of cross country and track & field events, practice organization, home meet management and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidates should be highly motivated and have a strong undergraduate academic record and a Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution. The qualified candidate must be admitted to a
- Masters Degree Program at Carthage College in order to be assigned this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in collegiate cross country and/or track and field.
- A background in sprints, jumps, hurdles, or pole vault is preferred but not required.

Carthage competes in NCAA Division III and is a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) in cross country, indoor, and outdoor track and field. Carthage is located on the shore of Lake Michigan in Kenosha, Wisconsin midway between Milwaukee and Chicago. The College has an enrollment of 2,600 undergraduate students including 700 athletes in 28 NCAA intercollegiate sports.
