TFA 513: Advanced Endorsement in Cross Country

**IN PERSON COURSE**

This advanced, 15 hour course focuses on the unique demands of cross country, providing coaches with specialized knowledge in athlete development and performance optimization. TFA 511 covers comprehensive topics including training theory, race tactics, athlete management, and the latest sport science applications relevant to cross country training. Special emphasis is placed on physiology, biomechanics, long-term development, and periodization strategies.

As part of the Track and Field Academy’s highest-level Masters Mentorship series, TFA513 prepares coaches to guide athletes at the most competitive levels.

Upon successful completion of the course, any existing certifications you may hold will be renewed by the number of years specified in Academy Policy. As the 500 level courses are part of the Masters Certification curriculum, they therefore do not grant stand alone certification.

Member Fee – $275

Prerequisites:

The minimal requirements for taking the Advanced Endorsement course are

• 305: Endurance Event Specialist Certification
• 403: Testing and Measurement
• 405: Sports Psychology
• 406: Injury Management
• 408: Sport Science for Speed & Power Events
• Your choice of either 310: Strength & Conditioning Coach Certification or 407: Weight Training.

OR

• 10 years of formal coaching experience
• 305: Endurance Event Specialist Certification

Deadline: Course registration closes at 11:55pm (Central) on Friday, December 11th. On-site registration WILL NOT be available.
