GRADUATE ASSISTANT IN M/W CROSS COUNTRY
Position description
Mount Mercy University is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant in M/W Cross Country which competes in the Heart of America Athletic Conference and NAIA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting the Head M/W Cross Country Coach in all aspects of the coaching and management of the cross country and distance programs; assisting and supporting race-day preparation; and execution and participation in all aspects of recruiting student-athletes.
Additionally, the graduate assistant will also collaborate with the Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Facilities and Sports Information Director with race day preparation including setup of relevant technology (video, audio, livestream production) as well as social media curation.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness to support the Mount Mercy University mission as a Catholic university providing student-focused education in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy. The assistantship requires acceptance and enrollment in one of the approved Mount Mercy University master’s degree programs. The position offers tuition forgiveness and a small stipend. Housing and meals are the responsibility of the graduate assistant. 20 hours of work per week is required.
