She won every sprint race in the Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women national championships, capturing titles in the 100 and 200 meters in 1976, the 400 in 1977 and 1978 and the sprint medley relay in 1978 – in world-record time. In the 1978 AIAW championship meet, she scored a record 22 points. The AIAW is known as DIV II, so that is why Rosalyn has the 400m record in DIV II. She still holds the 400m DIV II record going on 45 years.

Rosalyn Bryant was also the 1979 World University Games 400 champion and she set an American record in the 400 in the 1976 Montreal Olympics, a record that stood until 1984. She also anchored the U.S. 1600 meters relay team to an American record and a silver medal in Montreal.In 1977, Bryant set world indoor records at 220 and 500 yards. She was the 1975 AAU 100-meter champion.,She won Cal State L.A.’s All-University Award in 1978.
Former Olympian, Rosalyn Bryant, is seen here as a member of the Los Angeles' Police Department Track and Field Team competing at the Police Olympics held at Rio Mesa High School in Oxnard. She took a year off from College in 1975 to represent the US team on their trip to China. She ran in 3 countries, Shanghai, Canton and Peking, and I won the 200meters in all 3 countries.
