PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

The non-technical aspects of coaching comprise a huge part of every coach’s duties. The Track and Field Academy is the only coaching education body that offers courses and educational opportunities in the non-technical aspects of coaching. The Program Management for Track and Field course is our foundational course in this area, increasing your efficiency and helping you to save time and effort in these duties.

COST

Tuition for the on-site version of the course is $100 for early registration. For late and on-site registration, tuition is $120.

INSTRUCTORS

The PMC is taught only by highly respected coaches, who have proven themselves in the coaching field and have extensive experience in the teaching profession.

REGISTRATION

Registration for the PMC is online. Select the registration link for the school you wish to attend on the Academy’s Upcoming Course Offerings page. This registration also serves a place reservation, as space is limited and admission is granted on a first come, first served basis.

Why the PMC?
Besides being the only course of its type, the PMC is a part of the USTFCCCA’s Track and Field Academy. The Track and Field Academy is the only program of its type operated by a coaching organization, with a unique understanding of the challenges and issues that coaches deal with in their daily institutional setting. Our curriculum illustrates this understanding.

Who is the organization behind this program?
The Track and Field Academy, and thus this program, are designed and operated by The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The USTFCCCA is an national organization representing over 8,000 Track & Field and Cross Country coaches of various levels.

What is the Track and Field Academy?
The Track and Field Academy is a program administered by the USTFCCCA that offers a variety of certification programs and professional development courses for the Track & Field and Cross Country Coach.

Are there prerequisites for the PMC course?
No, but a very basic knowledge of Track and Field is helpful.

Is the PMC applicable to High School Coaches?
Yes, the course offers a broad based instruction, making it very applicable to the high school setting.

Is the PMC part of a more extensive program?
Yes. The PMC is just one of the courses offered by the Track and Field Academy. The program offers multiple courses and certifications, as well as other continuing education experiences for the coach.
