Job Description

 

Summary:

Qualified candidates must possess a passion for the sport of Track and Field and a career in athletics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to planning and coordination of all team travel and meals; assist with practice and meet logistics including equipment setup, work closely with the equipment manager assigned to the program, promote academic success and assist academic advisor monitoring student-athlete academic progress, budget tracking and other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Job Description

  • Manage travel arrangements, itineraries, meals and team coordination.
  • Travel with the team to competitions.
  • Assist with practice including equipment setup and facility preparation.
  • Help organize and manage home meets, meet logistics and special events.
  • Maintain inventory and assist with ordering equipment and apparel.
  • Work closely with program academic advisor monitoring student-athlete academic progress.
  • Submit track and field invoices for payment in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Must apply for and be accepted to graduate school at TCU. The expectation is a firm two-year commitment within a single academic program.
  • Competitive experience and or coaching background experience in Track and Field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Social Media skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Required Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; acceptance into a graduate program at TCU.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be insurable under the university motor vehicle requirements.
  • CPR / AED certified.

The Graduate Assistant receives a monthly stipend, full tuition, and required course materials.
