Job Description

The University of Tampa is seeking a Volunteer Assistant Coach for Men’s and Women’s Track & Field. The ideal candidate will have a background in throwing events and will oversee training for all throws athletes. They will work under the direction of two head coaches simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and overseeing key practice sessions with throws athletes
• Assisting in meet and travel logistics as required by the Head Coaching Staff
• Assisting in recruitment of throws athletes to the University of Tampa at the discretion of the Head Coaching Staff
• Maintaining strict adherence to all NCAA DII and Sunshine State Conference Rules

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of throws events, specifically shot, disc, and javelin
• A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving certification exam
• Strong organizational and communication skills
